Help me give my students exciting new books to build our classroom library. Dog Man, Captain Underpants, and Zoey and Sassafras will be perfect for my second grade readers!
My students come from many different parts of the world including Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and the United States. They are enthusiastic, persistent learners. We work hard every day as scientists, artists, mathematicians, scholars, and friends.
At our school, 96% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 92% of the students are students of color.
The majority of my students are learning English as a second or third language. These students have the potential for greatness and a great need for resources.
My Project
My students are crazy about books! We read every day for at least 20 minutes. They love the graphic novels that are already available in our classroom library. I've been noticing, however, that after finishing their favorite series, some students are discouraged when they can't find similar books. The books I've added to this project will triple the graphic novel options we have in our library.
