Many of my students are being raised in a single parent home household and received free lunch. The school has 98% reduced lunch based on their socioeconomic status. My students have limited technology and they have to share with the whole class to do reading projects, social studies, and other assignments.
Many of them have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school.
My class serve students with a range of disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism, spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities. They have economic problems and some of them do not have access to the internet at home. Most of the time, they have to do their home assignments in school during instruction time or at a friend's house, public library, or in the after school program.
I believe every child can succeed. My students are dreamers, thinkers, leaders, and inquisitive. I am taking an extra mile with them to ensure they can make their dreams a reality. Technology is very significant in today's society. Students need a printer to research their class assignments, and class projects because many of them do not have access to a printer. The printer will open their little eyes into a new world. The printer would bring excitement to my classroom. Students will be able to utilize the printer such as printing their own data,,printing their classroom research, and print home learning projects in color.
I know that my students will love to print their work in color, it is eye catching when visitors walk in our classroom.
