Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a class of 25 students who are learning English as a second language. Most of the students rely completely on school to develop their English language skills. Many of my students have limited resouces at home and they cherish the opportunity to borrow learning materials that interest them. They are always making suggestions for new class projects and I love being able to provide these opportunities.
My students always arrive eager to learn, full of curiosity, with the desire to showcase their knowledge in new, creative ways.
Ultimately, these materials help provide tangible learning experiences that promote a lifetime love of learning.
My Project
My students will use the tablets to access literacy apps such as Mobymax, ESL resources, Starfall, digital books, and adopted curriculum resources, just to name a few. They will use digital dictionaries and encyclopedias to look up words or conduct research.
By contributing to this project, you will help struggling ESL to enhance their learning experience.
All my students are Limited English Proficient. These tablets will be a powerful tool to give them more exposure to Science and Math content. I believe that in the 21st century, all students need consistent access to technology. Your generous contribution would help close the gap.
