My students need 30 highlighters/ red pens, various poetry and essay writing resource books, and some basic writing resource charts to help them become excellent writers.
Students can become excellent writers by reading the writings of others and learning to edit peer papers... I have some ambitious writers and with these supplies they can achieve their dreams!
I teach the 6th grade.
My students come from various backgrounds. Their school is comprised of mostly free and reduced lunch students. Some of our students do not have basic personal items for themselves, and we work as a team to provide for these students. They are sweet and respectful students, but need to be shown love from their role models at school. They attend an elementary/junior high school that is made up of K-8th grade students. Our students struggle with getting supplies for everyday use and we struggle to provide manipulatives in the teaching of concepts, due to a very limited budget.
My Project
My students need 30 highlighters/ red pens, various poetry and essay writing resource books, and some basic writing resource charts to help them become excellent writers. These resources can help my students understand grammar, usage, and mechanics as well as the structure of a great essay. My students are very talented writers and with these materials and their lessons this year I hope that they will unlock their potential.
Students will be able to reference these materials quickly in the classroom as they work.
My students deserve the best in their education and these materials will help me engage their minds as they learn to write.
