My Students
My students are precocious, inquisitive, compassionate, and open-minded children with a thirst for knowledge. I love that my students are eager to learn and despite the many challenges teachers and students have faced by the ongoing pandemic, they continue to thrive. No matter how complicated their daily routine becomes, they continue to work hard.
My students have shown a genuine interest in their education and their willingness to succeed.
They strive daily to stay engaged and focused so that they are prepared for school-wide assessments and state tests.
They are always ready to learn and ready to try new things and as their teacher, it is my goal to supply them with the resources and tools in order to do so because, in my heart, I know they deserve it.
My Project
The 2021-2022 school year has been extremely difficult for most of the parents in my community. As a result, most of the supplies have been purchased by my family members, close friends, and myself. As we prepare for district and state-wide assessments, I have noticed that most of my students' school supplies have been depleted.
The more I teach, the more resources the activities require.
Because I love what I do, I put forth every effort to make my lessons as exciting and engaging as possible. I try to make the learning environment as conducive to learning as I possibly can. My students are our future, and deserve nothing less than excellence! The cardstock, wall post-its, and ink, will assist me with preparing Reading and Math lessons and activities. As a result, my students will be able to complete individual and group projects, without facing the limitations of depleted resources.
Reading has always been a very critical subject; one that most of my students have always struggled with. In order to create more fluent readers, I make a conscious effort to model good reading, which also includes reading aloud for enjoyment. The chair that I have requested, will allow me the comfort of being able to sit and read, while my students gather for storytime and listen to various tales of adventure and mystery.
With your assistance, my students can remain focused on their education, and I can focus on ways to make learning more exciting, rather than stressing about what we don't have.
