My Students

Have you ever watched a movie but only heard the speaking lines with now soundtrack? Now imagine enhancing the marching band show by adding sound effects to put you "In the Storm."

Juniata Valley Marching Band is a phenomenal group of 34 students located in Pennsylvania.

This hard-working and goal driven group is on their fourth band director in six years. They have overcome an unbelievable amount of change and deserve nothing but the best materials, opportunities and instruction. It is my goal as the band director to provide these students with such things. Our parent organization is one of the most supportive group in the area that expects nothing but the best for their children.

My Project

This MIDI controller will take the students from the average marching band field show, and give them a technology forerunner that will put them on a different level of performance. This piece of technology will give the students the opportunity to add real live sound effects, recordings, and speaking lines to any performance indoor or outdoor and put them in the story rather than just playing music on the field. Students will be moving along with modern technology and engaging the audience in a different way.

Donations to this project will make the difference for my students performance in many different ways.

By adding this piece of technology to the field the students will be integrating technology with music performance, they will be engaging their minds to create a story, and they will have this technology for years to come.
