Everything You Need to Know, You Learn in Kindergarten!
My kindergarten students need 13 assorted resources, including a Water/Sand Table, 2 Magnetic Alphabet Fishing Sets, a Dino-Dig Excavation Kit and 4 play smocks.
Everything you need to know, you learn in Kindergarten, right? Let's make this statement a reality by joining forces to create a learning environment where academic achievement is high while the level of fun and excitement over learning is too.
Kindergarten students are tactile learners. They retain the most information when they experience hands on learning and create active learning moments on their own. We need more opportunities for these children to touch, feel, explore and create while learning. I have selected a water/sand table combo., as well as alphabet and number materials to be used in the table during center time (alphabet shells and number shells to sift for in the sand table, as well as alphabet letters and numbers to catch with magnetic fishing poles. I also have waterproof aprons for the students to don before working at the water table.). Using these concrete materials to practice learning amounts and numerals for math, and alphabet letters, sounds, and word building for literature, would be an amazing and efficient way for my students to practice learning these concepts in what would otherwise be done in a rather dry, lackluster way.
If I had the water and sand table my students could have an awesome experience when learning alphabet letters, building words, reading, and while learning numbers. What could possibly be more fun than fishing for letters to build words- or, digging up numbers to match to the correct amount? Please help me by donating to purchase the sand/water table, sand shells with alphabet letters and numbers, the water letters and magnetic fishing poles, as well as floating numbers. Please help support this child friendly learning opportunity by donating to buy the art paint cups and brushes so that we can become young illustrators. And let's not leave out science! We will dig for dinosaur bones in the sand table with the sand you purchase and the young paleontologist kit. I have one student this year who has already declared a desire to be a paleontologist when he grows up. Imagine his delight when he sifts for bones and pulls up the remains of a Tyrannosaurus Rex in his Kindergarten class!
With your help, these young minds will soar to new heights, creating beautiful art keepsakes along the way, as well as participating in the most fun, effective, academic learning centers ever! Thanks for your support!
