My Project

Students spend much of their school time in their classrooms. How the space looks, feels and functions determines how much they learn. One of the goals I have for my students this year is to give them the skills needed to become independent and have a more "take charge " attitude when it comes to their education.

With your help organizing my classroom, it will allow me to use my time to plan more meaningful lessons and building stronger relationships with my students.

On the list I have included a mailbox system that when once trained, students will be able to be the mail carriers. They will help with sorting and collecting their materials for their folders each night. This is just another "life skill" we will be addressing throughout the year.

The yellow trays will be used in the Math Progressions model that the District has adopted. I try to color code the materials to make it easier for students to navigate during math station work. Students move between red, green and yellow containers. I never can find yellow, so I was thrilled to come across these!

These three items are vital in keeping our room well organized and efficient. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
