I teach twenty, eager-to-learn kindergarteners in a Title I school.
My students show up everyday excited to be at school and ready to learn.
Unfortunately, many of them do not have traditional learning materials at home that foster learning through creativity and play. I need your help updating the materials in my classroom. Due to economic strains, our classrooms are suffering. Without your help, it is impossible for me to purchase things to update learning materials for school and home practice, furniture, and books.
My Project
I have recently moved to a new school and am working hard to stock it with new learning games and tools for little learners. My students love working together with a partner or small group in cooperative learning groups.
We need these books, headphones, sentence building cards, a laminator and other materials for our technology, literacy, and math stations.
The sentence building cards, paper, and laminator will provide practice for a variety of learning objectives, like phonemic awareness, learning the alphabet, building words and beginning reading standards. The headphones and wired mice will help students use their chromebooks, ipads, and Leapfrog readers independently. These materials will be used weekly by students and enjoyed for many years.
