Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the honor of working with some very sweet exceptional education students. Our school is in a low income area, but you would never know that by talking to them. They want to learn and thrive with their education. While exceptional education is a priority, it is one of the most expensive interventions in public schools. We need all the help we can get with supplying our students with the tools they need.
These kids have the biggest hearts and the biggest desire to learn of other students their age.
Helping to provide them with a safe place to learn is my number one goal. Providing them with the tools they need to learn is my number two. If you feel compelled to help please know your gift will go a long way.
My Project
My students love to read but they struggle with finding texts on their levels that they have not read yet. Having a classroom set of leveled readers as well as SEL books will give my students an opportunity to access texts that are new to them! The students are also using OSMO's to build awareness of shapes, letters, and numbers while using the iPad.
This project will give my students access to materials to expand their knowledge and is fun at the same time.
This project will provide the students with new fun texts to improve their reading levels. We also all have been told that this current generation learn from modern and new technology. Why not bring the most current and fun iPad equipment that is designed for the classroom to them!
