My Students

Students learn in a variety of ways, whether is it visual, audial, or hand-on. With technological advancements, there has been a shift to using tablets or computers to learn, but not sometimes there are not enough resources for all students due to limited funding. The science department has a very limited budget as well.

Not all students learn in the same manner, and as a teacher, it is imperative that I teach my students in a variety of ways to reach all of my students.

I like to mix up instruction and activities, but I have found that the number one way that students learn is through lab or hands on activities.

My Project

Students are expected to learn at a fast pace and obtain deep understanding. It was always difficult for me as a student throughout even my college years to understand cellular processes, so I can relate to my students struggles.

I want to help my students understand the cellular processes of involved in the inner working of our cell membranes fun, hands on 3D models!

These molecular models are a fantastic resource I can use to model the different structures and parts of our cell membranes. I heard about these models through a colleague, and I am eager to use these to help my students!
