Our magnet school is full of innovative, creative students. We are a low-income school with a variety of students including a high ESL population that reaches out to students in the area of leadership. We have students in preschool through 5th grade. Not only do we encourage innovation, but we encourage students to use the 7 Habit of Highly Effective People in order to create lifelong learners and leaders.
Students learn perseverance and leadership while becoming quality citizens.
They learn through blended learning and are led to become lifelong learners by taking ownership of their learning.
My Project
The students at Kenwood are learning to be leaders in their community by living the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
The books I have requested will inspire our students to be themselves and to accept others for who they are and who they want to be.
These are qualities that will help develop our future leaders.
As the librarian, I will be able to showcase these books and get them out to our students, no matter if they are in person or remote learners. We have a system in place to keep our students reading and learning!
