My Students

I have the opportunity of teaching a group of students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. They come to school every day, despite their disabilities, to learn functional skills that will help them grow and become assets to our community. Just within the elementary community of our school they have an influences daily on our other students.

My students are the prime example that nothing can stand in your way of coming to school to grow and meet daily goals.

My students illustrate pure kindness, friendship, love, and dedication.

My Project

Due to the disabilities that my students have, having one book does not work when doing group lessons. Each student needs their own class copy of the book for the lesson to have full potential to learn!

With each student having their own book will allow them to point to picture or answers, keep their attention longer, and allow for the student to take in more direct information.

This will also allow the classroom to follow all of the health guidelines of not sharing a book among multiple students. Keeping the students safe is very important!
