Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my fourth year teaching and my second year teaching Special Education! While I am at a new school, I am still teaching in the same region of Oklahoma City. I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast.
I have a group of beautiful learners ranging from 5th to 8th grade.
My students are sweet, kind, and bright! This project is meant to provide developmentally appropriate tools to serve my students' unique needs. Some of my projects will be academic and others will serve needs such as hunger, winter clothing, and comfort in the classroom.
My Project
In Special Education, our students are each on very different reading levels. My hope is that with a leveled library, our students on Early Childhood level and higher alike can easily access books that they can read independently.
This is a resource I believe all classrooms need.
I once did a project for this resource when I worked at another school; that classroom flourished with this tool. I hope to bring that same success to my new class!
Please help me give my students more opportunities to grow and show their independence. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
