Help me give my students and I the supplies we need for everyday class. The pencils, dry erase supplies, phone organizer, and pens are used everyday. The organization is for student daily work for the week.
I teach ages 13-18 year old students. Our public charter school located on the east side of St. Paul, MN. Our school is committed to developing productive future citizens through academic rigor and building character in partnership with parents and the community. Our students are focused on creating a bright future and are currently leaders in the community, even presenting at town hall meetings.
As a class we try to relate government and economics to everyday life and for students to take ownership of their learning.
I teach mostly 11th grade students so they are really engaged with important things to know after high school. My goal as a social studies teacher is to engage and challenge students to critically think about the past to encourage them to change their future.
My Project
Hi! First, thank you so much for giving my project an opportunity to succeed. There are a lot of little things on my project list. The main idea is to make everyday class run more smoothly. Everyday in every class a student will ask for a pencil. My hope is that I will have the box for a long time. The dry erase equipment is for writing the agenda on the board as well as writing examples on the board. The cellphone holder is for students to put their phones in so they are not distracted during class.
My vision for this project is to enhance everyday learning through the little things that are essential everyday in a classroom.
The organization tools are for students to easily access assignments that we have done during the week. It will also help me keep every assignment neatly organized in a file cabinet. I hope that this project will make everyday just a little easier and get students the materials they need. Thanks!
