This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, A lot of my students go without everyday necessary items. These mittens will help keep their little hands warm and cozy while they wait outside to be picked up and while they have fun on the playground during recess.

Often times my students come to school hungry and being able to provide a snack at recess will hold them over until lunch time.

Some of my littles have ADHD and for students that are 4-5 years old it is tough to sit still. Having weighted animals on hand will help these students feel grounded and safe. The requested read-aloud books will help calm them as they learn how to sit together in a group.
