My Students
Our school serves a very diverse community that includes all ethnicities and genders in grades 6 to 8. I am looking for support in providing basic supplies that my 6th graders will need to be successful in the academic progress this year.
As inner city youth here in San Francisco, my students have access to lots of different cultures and some of the best and brightest scientific minds in the industry.
My students are very bright and motivated to do well.
My Project
These notebooks and pencils will be used everyday by the students in my classroom. This gives them the ability to keep all of their vital information in one place so it may be easily accessed. I have been using science notebooks for years and have seen a vast improvement in grades and the students’ ability to keep everything together in one place. The students are able to draw and label diagrams and pictures of the various topics that are discussed in science. In addition, my students spend two weeks dissecting a squid and a frog in the book allows them the room to insert diagrams followed by coloring and labeling the individual parts. The back of the book is used for each student to have a continuously growing vocabulary section.
