My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them each day. I teach 1st graders in the inner city. Most of them live in the projects and do not have many things. I want my students to be excited to come to school each day and want to learn. I want to make their learning experience more exciting and I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything!
My classroom is filled with very many eager students ready and so excited to learn. I am looking for a variety of basic supplies that will be used every day by me and my students.
Many of these supplies will be replacing supplies that are old or need to be updated.
My students take initiative in their own learning. These supplies will help them create and display what they are learning each and every day.
The chair will serve dual purposes. It will be used at my guided reading table where I pull a small group of students to work with every single day in reading and math and it will also be used as an author's chair. This is where students will sit and read stories they wrote while the other students give the author positive feedback. The pencil sharpener is an essential tool students will use every single day. The colored paper will be used a variety of ways. I like to use the different colors to send important notes home to parents. The students also love to write on colored paper. The dry erase markers will be used by students on their white boards daily.
Please consider donating to my classroom so that my students have materials they need to assist them throughout their continuous learning process.
