My Students

My kindergarten students are outgoing and hardworking kiddos. They are born leaders and love hands-on learning. Most of my students come from lower socioeconomic households. They often come from difficult home lives and school is their safe place. I want to give my students the best education that they can have.

Children learn through play.

In the classroom, my goal if for my students to be having so much fun that they do not even notice that they are learning. My students collaborate, discover and explore in order to comprehend new ideas.

My Project

Kindergarten students learn through play, hands-on activities and collaboration. Much of my teaching throughout the day is done at the carpet whole group. We act story problems out, we play interactive games on the Smartboard and we read books. My students need a Place For Everyone Carpet so they can all fit comfortably.

Little kids need lots of movement.

Sometimes sitting criss cross applesauce does not work for them. They need a space where they can all sit together yet they can still stretch their bodies out. This carpet would allow for a successful and comfortable large group time!
