My students need a memory book that captures all the fun they had in fourth grade which I hope to provide them by taking various photos with the camera and putting them together.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
They are not going to remember how many tests they took or the math lessons they did, but they will remember in every page that they turn the cherished memories captured with a camera and put together in a memory book.
I have 24 fourth graders who love to pose in front of the camera.
My class has more girls than boys. All of them enjoy school especially when we do science investigations and play sports. They love helping me after school, recess, and lunch out of goodness of their hearts. I often find a large crowd of them just waiting by my classroom begging me to let them come in so they can help out. Our school is Title 1 school and everyone receives free lunch.
My Project
As much as my students love posing in front of the camera, I love taking pictures of the moments of their precious lives. These children spend most of the time with me and their parents often miss out on those special moments while they are at school. I like to preserve the memories of their lives on special occasions we have at school like Halloween Parade, The Holiday Program, Crazy Hair Day, or when we have spacial visitors like a cow from a dairy farm. At the end of the school year I present them with a special gift of their very own memory book which is different from a year book since it contains memories only of them and their classmates. The memory book has a personalized cover made by each student. It has every child's autographs, an autobiography of each child, and photographs with captions from that year. The students learn to write autobiographies, get to read others', and learn to appreciate moments they had together.
My memory book which will be created with the camera would become every students' favorite book, because it would be not only designed by them but it would be about them.
They would be able to share these lasting memories with their friends and families. "School is a great place to be and every child is a star" would be illustrated on every page of the book.
