My Project

The COVID-19 has had a huge impact on all students, both academically and emotionally. Many students have had difficulty adjusting to in-person learning as they re-learn how to sit and focus for extended periods of time with their peers.

Sensory tools help students to remain focused in the classroom and help to calm some of the anxiety they may feel.

These tools help students to access their educational program by providing them with needed movement, textural cues, and aids to help them to better process sensory information. These tools will address sensory, attentional, and social-emotional needs for many students.

I would like to establish a sensory tool library for the school so teachers can borrow tools that will help specific students in their classroom to address their needs and help them to progress academically, emotionally, and behaviorally.
