My students need a teacher who is prepared with the materials needed to teaching Reading and Writing. It has been 5 years since I taught these subjects and I'm looking at getting the best resources!
At the end of the year, I want my students to say, "This was the best year ever!" My students deserve the best education I can possibly provide them.
I desire to have a classroom that will allow my students to be risk-takers, believe they can be successful, and enjoy learning!
My students come to me from all walks of life, but one thing is constant; their desire to learn! My students are excited to come to school each day and be a part of our classroom community. We work together as a team to build each other up and create an environment of learning, despite the hurdles we may have to overcome to be successful.
My Project
I'm looking to update my resources for teaching reading and writing. I have taught Math exclusively for many years. I feel out of the Language Arts game.
I'd like to arm my self with the newest books on the subject to prepare myself to teach this subject again.
I'm always looking for the best resources available. These three books The Reading Strategies Book, The Writing Strategies Book, and The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading will help prepare me to teach these subjects.
