My Project

Our students make my day better as soon as they walk in the door every day. They love our school and enjoy learning in the environment and classroom culture we have in our room. Our students and staff are excited about learning and taking ownership of their everyday learning and to challenge each other to keep growing.

My Project

One of my favorite things about our school is the teachers genuinely LOVE teaching and the students genuinely LOVE learning.

I am requesting materials for a professional development workroom and a space where staff and students can congregate to create an even better environment for our school.

We spend countless hours of our personal time planning for our students. Having an inviting place where teachers can congregate, lesson plan, and collaborate would be an asset to our professional development as educators. A common lunch and learning hub would open that door allowing everyone to touch base daily if needed, not only to learn from each other but also to lean on each other.

For students, we would like a space they can also go to work in small groups and collaborate with peers.

The stools would be for students and staff, as we will be creating two separate areas for workspaces in our school. The Keurig will also be used for all members in our school community. This will mostly be used for our Spartan Spark students. Each month every teacher nominates one student. We are creating a spartan spark area in our school, where these students' pictures will be hung up, they will have their workspace there, and also our principal will serve them hot chocolate during their special lunch they receive.

Overall we hope to add some more color and inviting spaces to be together.
