I teach an amazing class of 6th graders in Los Angeles, California. My students desire to go above and beyond on assignments given the right resources that are high interest. We are a great multicultural family that loves to learn. My class includes students that speak a language other than English at home. All students receive free breakfast and approximately 32% receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Our class loves using our LEGO EV3 Robotics Kits, but we need one more kit to support smaller groups.
My Project
LEGO EV3 robots are amazing! They can be programmed to go through an obstacle course and scoop up materials. I enjoy helping the fifth and sixth grade students explore all the different levels in robotics that the EV3 offers. I have requested an EV3 LEGO Education to supplement the kits we currently have. I have also requested a Space Challenge Set to differentiate instruction for independent study.
Having these Robotics Kits means that more students will be able to build, explore, and program during our school's robotics studies.
It is great to see student engagement as the students work together in teams to solve engineering problems as they learn to program their robots.
Your help donating to this project means that our robotics program will continue to develop and expand.
