My Students

My school is a Title I school and students often times don’t have the same advantages as other children do at home. My job is to allow them all the opportunities to learn and experience life.

I love the fact that my students enjoy the Social Studies content when I create activities to go along with the standards.

When they are able to get into the content and create something or act out the parts they truly learn the content.

My Project

The materials that I am requesting will be used for our European Explorers play. We spend a month learning the speaking parts, as well as the music for the play. The students are learning history all while having fun. Therefore, I think that the use of costumes will allow the students to get into the parts.

The costumes will allow the students to see how the people dressed during the time period.

The parents who come to the play will have a better understanding of what parts the students are playing if they are wearing costumes to represent those people.
