My students need blank journals. The unlined journals encourage children to explore early writing...perfect for emergent writers. They also need blank hardcover books and paint supplies to make the school year more exciting!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class are in elementary school for the first time. This is an extended transitional kindergarten class so most of the students are 4 years old. They are excited about school. They enjoy art projects, dancing, singing and playing. They are happy and joyful and I want to encourage them to love coming to school each day by ensuring that they have fun and interesting activities. They have a natural curiosity that makes teaching them so much fun!
My Project
The spill-proof paint caddies and cups will allow my 4-year-old students to have more painting opportunities. The pocket chart is going to be used to create pair-share partners. Each week students will get a new partner so that community is encouraged in our classroom. The blank journals will help to encourage writing without worrying about staying on the baselines! The hardcover books will be an exciting end of the year project.
All the supplies will make learning more fun for the students in my class.
It is their first year at our school so I want them to have a great foundation.
