Establishing Collaboration: Creating a Room Built for Sharing

My students need a kidney table so that they can work collaboratively. My students will be working with 4 other group members to create projects for the rest of the year.

My Students

My classroom is not your typical "sit and get" classroom. My students are always working together to solve a problem. They are a lively bunch and love to work together to complete the project that they are currently working on. Students are engaged and on "fire to learn!"

The goal of our school is to create 21st century learners, who not only have the knowledge to survive in today's competitive world, but also the soft skills.

We want our learners to be able to work in groups, problem solve, and be successful both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

The kidney tables would help facilitate our students learning, by creating a more suitable work space for collaboration. It is very hard for students to collaborate across desks that have been moved together to create a work space. This would also allow me to go to each individual group and have a small group lesson while the rest of the class continues to work on the project.

Donations to this project would help tremendously, because it would encourage my students to collaborate.

It would help them become better problem solvers and would prepare them for working in groups.
