My students need essentials to be successful with personalized learning. I am requesting dry erase markers for students to work with partners in an engaging way, erasers to make corrections, and earbuds for their computers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students at our school come to us from low socioeconomic homes. Some students live with a single parent or grandparents. They are forced to be independent humans while still learning routines themselves as young children. Many of my students are now faced with new challenges, as their homes were damaged during Hurricane Harvey.
Their minds are on things other than what they need to learn at school and sometimes it presents itself as a difficult way to meet students where they are.
They just want to be heard, understood, and feel safe while at school.
My Project
Students in my classroom are engaged in their learning and these tools will support them directly. During their PLT class, students are taking notes through a personalized learning platform. Earbuds are the most important supply for them this year, as videos are an essential piece of the platform.
While using their computers and earbuds, students are taking notes and mistakes happen.
This is where the erasers come in. Lastly, students want to collaborate and not always use a pencil and paper. Expo dry erase markers allow students to work together on their desks and work with partners. This is an engaging way for the students to show their work.
