This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Read, read, read! Unlocking the sweetness, wisdom, and knowledge you can gain from being a reader will be so easy with a listening center equipped with eBook readers. Unfortunately, I have a listening center with no books at the moment. Help us!

We are located in the inner city in a needy neighborhood.

My class is full of curious kindergartners. They are eager to learn about the world all around them. They are beginning to read and I want to make sure that I am doing everything in my power to make them life long readers and consequently learners.

My Project

The ebook reader can serve a variety of functions. One it will provide vivid interactive books for a listening center that has no books. It can also be used to conduct whole group reading lessons as I plug it into the projector. Finally, the reader also has access to countless free applications that will support my students in every subject including, math, science, writing, etc.

Remember that with an ebook reader students will not only practice their reading skills, but they will become life long readers thereby unlocking all the sweetness, wisdom, and knowledge that books have to offer.
