Learning history is not about just memorizing facts of events. It is about teaching them to learn from the past. We must give every student the ability to learn and succeed. In my classroom, I want to give my students the gift of learning through art!

I want my students to want more after I have taught them. I want to leave them with a hunger to want to go past the lecture, the presentation, the notes, and dig deeper into the history that has shaped not only our nation but all of humanity
Our students face many multiple challenges. Some of our students are impacted by difficulties such as homelessness, military deployments, and even the hurricane that hit this fall. Helping them rise up and be the best they can be is my job. I want them to reach for the moon in all that they do, so that they always land among the stars.

My Project
Last school year, two students stayed after school and told me we had a problem in our school that not many people talk about. These two students are very civic minded and extremely caring students.
We have created a safe environment where military and non-military, and homeless students can come to get the needed supplies.
Students will be able to get needed items in a trustworthy, safe environment. Everyone needs help and no one should have to go through their struggles alone or feel like no one can help them. We want to provide that much-needed support for our own Trojans.
With this project, we are specifically requesting ready-made meals, instant meals, and meals for our students in need. These meals will allow students to go home and have access to a healthy meal.
We have requested an assortment of ready made meals to include meat and vegetarian options to meet the needs of our student's health needs along with juices.
