This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Without libraries what have we? We have no past and no future," Ray Bradbury. Our library has too many empty book shelves and our resources to fill them are limited.

Our school is a small high school located in an urban area in California.

We are truly a multicultural school with over ninety percent of our students from minority populations. Most of our families are eligible for free or reduced price lunch. We owe our students a good education, and books are needed to accomplish this.

My Project

Our library is the heart of our school. It is located in the central atrium of our school. It is an open and inviting environment filled with books, which is a great place to learn or relax. However, we need more books to fill our empty shelves. These books will be shared by all of our students! They will provide our students with options and choices in their reading. Teachers will be able to bring their students to check out books. I want these books to wear out from use!

Your donation will put books in the hands of students.

Many of these students have no books at home. The only books available to them are found in our library. You are providing our students with the gift of knowledge.
