Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The loveliest children learn in my class. The most amazing, eager, thankful little souls stare at me every day, absorbing all the knowledge I give. I know there are lots of schools that need help but if you could only see my children and my class, you would not hesitate to be part of such an amazing little group. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds to learn in our city. My students are truly the loveliest.
Every time we get a donation, I tell them the same thing: "Guess what boys and girls, there is someone out there that believes in you so much and knows you could do great things.
They have made a sacrifice and donated something to your awesomeness. Now the only thing we need to do is pay it forward. Can we do it?" Their answers are always "Yes".

My Project
These materials are essential for second-grade learning. Not having a pencil to write is something we deal with. If your parents had just enough for food and shelter, school supplies become a luxury.
Most of us cannot think of a pencil as a luxury however that is the life of a public school teacher.
Our kids deserve better. So I try to give them better. My goal is for my students to have the best second-grade ever since for most it will be the only time they are 7 years old.
