This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school every day ready to learn despite the many obstacles and challenges they have in their lives. All of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students are well below grade level learners, but that does not interfere with their excitement about learning.
My students want the opportunity to collaborate, use their imaginations, and take on the challenge of using their knowledge to solve problems.
My students take their education seriously and want to improve academically for their future success in this technological world.
My Project
This year I will be teaching students who are learning remotely. In order for them to continue to learn successfully, I would like to deliver them some supplies they will need to complete class assignments. This will include daily materials such as pencils, crayons, scissors and etc.
Delivering the materials to the students will create an equitable learning environment and eliminate the lack of supplies as a learning barrier.
These supplies will ensure my students can continue to be successful no matter what their learning environment is.
They will use these items each day during ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies time. It is critical they are able to continue their learning regardless if they are at home or at school!
You will be helping support students and families through your donations and help navigate a brand new normal!
