My students need various school supply essentials, such as a printer, pencils, and paper, in order to foster a productive math classroom with handouts and tools for lectures.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The demographic of my school is 75% Latino, 24% African American and 1% White. The majority of students are English Language Learners and almost 90% receive free and reduced priced lunch. In the last two consecutive years, our students have met both the Reading and Math standards on the STAAR test (the standardized state test), and they are extremely bright!
Our neighborhood was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey, and some lives were lost.
Some students lost everything in their homes, and our school was relocated up until last month. We were operating in a nearby school, and now are back into our original school. There is still lots of work to be done and resources needed in order to provide all students an excellent education.
My Project
The materials I am asking for are supplies that some may overlook when rebuilding a new classroom. Since, my school had excessive damage, we virtually lost everything and have had to start from scratch. There are still many items that teachers here are in need of that most schools provide, but are without due to inequity of the school system.
My classroom is still up and running without technology, so I am in need of many paper copies, which is why the printer is a HUGE need for my students and I.
As a first year teacher, I did not realize the demand for school supplies was so great, as most of my students come every day without a pencil. Therefore, I need to provide many tools, supplies and resources for my students to ensure they're as successful as possible.
