My Students
I am a teacher who works with the preschool population, which consists of both special needs students and typical students, from the surrounding neighborhoods. The classroom that I teach in caters to both the typical and special needs students, primarily students with special needs and low income or migrant worker status. The students ages range from 3 years old to 4 years old. The Pre-K program strongly supports the learning and growth of social skills, communication, cognitive skills, movement and fine motor skills.
My Project
This project is about requesting and acquiring some much needed and very essential classroom items. These item are being used on a daily basis and continuously need to be replaced. These supplies would benefit the students in our class by being able to print out colorful pictures, home learning activities and nursery rhymes. The filing materials would be used to organize student work and classroom handouts. The dry erase markers are used on a daily basis in order for the students to write and trace their names, draw shapes and write or copy numbers. These supplies are being used constantly, and they need to be replaced. This project will provide some ability to continue with the managerial part of the classroom by replacing some of our essential supplies. The paper, ink and writing utensils are primarily used by the teacher and staff to be able to be functional in the classroom.
