Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten students are in need of books and working materials. Please help me fulfill their knowledge and aspiration.
We are an 80% ELL population with high poverty.
I want to instill a love for reading and a love for another language , in this case Spanish. These children will be given a gift of acceptance and knowledge through another language. The children will be globally enhanced by knowing two languages. Help them achieve such a small goal with incredible future achievement!
My Project
The Spanish books and CDs I am requesting will allow for more options in their learning. The students need to hear Spanish not just from me but other sources. I have included songs and rhymes to boost their grasp and enjoyment of learning another language. It will help them to read and understand Spanish. These children are 5 to 6 years old. Their capacity and enthusiasm is beyond any expectations for their age. They have never seized to amaze their openness of mind. The welcome and reverence for another’s human language is outstanding. Please help nurture theses young , bright minds that are willing and proud of accepting something new to them.
