This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, motivated, inspired, young individuals who are always looking to improve themselves. When they walk into our wrestling room (Gymnasium) they are quick to tell us about their days, their classes, and their excitement about how well they are doing. They get excited when they get the amazing grades that they earn. They get even more excited when they get a chance to practice and wrestle with their team on the mat. They all know school and grades come first before wrestling. That's the mindset they always have and demonstrate every day.

My Project

My students are always putting their best foot forward, even on the wrestling mat. They take what ever obstacles come their way and concur them. One obstacle they are struggling with and can not over come so easily is the need for equipment. They spend over ten minutes finding proper wrestling shoes to wear for practice. At times they struggle trying to find a matching pair. I have noticed some of my kids wearing shoes that are completely different, for an example, two different colors, sizes, brands, and even at times i see them wear two shoes of the same side (two left or two right shoes) just so they can wear shoes while on the mat.
