This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are used to the same types of assignments either on paper or on their chrome books to help them to learn and to check to see what they have learned. The goal of this project is to escape the normal and do something different in class.

Escape rooms are a ton of fun for puzzlers of any age.

The locks will be used to protect more clues and boxes will contain clues to help open even more secrets. The puzzles will be created using content specific material. ELA students will use what they have learned I class and Film students will have puzzlers created to gauge their understanding of class material. This will be used for team building activities for Film and Journalism too at the beginning of the year to get students more comfortable with each other before working together in a film crew. The great thing about the escape room concept is that it can be changed each time we play so it can be new lock and code combinations as well as order of locks etc.

This contains enough materials to create the escape room 6 times. This will allow student groups of 6 or less to participate at the same time during a class period.
