My students come from a rural area where they never know what is next. My students have goals and dreams which always work to the art teacher's advantage. Because they are so young, we go through a lot of materials. My students love sports, we enjoy the Little Dribblers program. My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous. They make me happy to come to work every single day. No matter what else is going on, my students are my heroes!
My Project
This project is one of many that I hope to get funded for my classroom, as I am starting a whole new curriculum and class theme for the 2018 - 2019 school year. We will be using classroom sets for a more hands on approach in our art room! We will be using the Felt Sets of Eric Carle to have the students reenact portions of the story, and use the Storybook 3-D The Very Hungry Caterpillar set for pass arounds. My students also need baskets to put the items in for better storage.
My project will help students understand story time!
This project will help students learn primary and secondary colors , in addition to helping my students work through behavioral issues in our safe place in the classroom. I am hoping this project helps students in the art classroom, and in the regular classroom, as their teachers may also use them.
