My ELL kindergarten students are hardworking and eager to learn! Most of my students are Yemeni and speak both Arabic and English. The language barrier can be a struggle, since I do not speak Arabic, but our staff and other students work hard to help support those students as they learn English, and they learn so fast!
The community around our school works hard to support what we do for their children at school, and I feel very fortunate to work with my students and their families.
They show me every day how much they can learn!
My kindergarten students need dry erase markers for several activities every day. They use the markers to draw pictures, write words, practice letter and number formation, design for projects in science, and complete subject area worksheets. In an effort to save paper, we use sleeves for worksheets to cut down on class copies, and we use white boards for other work.
Dry erase markers help us develop writing grip, fine motor strength, and helps us save on paper every day!
Even though we take care of our markers and are careful to put caps on and keep track of them, we use them so much that they run dry fairly quickly. By donating to this project, you will ensure that my students can do great work in our classroom without making hundreds of copies a week!
