Help me give my students a better learning experience with the addition of 3 Large Dry-Erase Whiteboards for our large gymnasium. More dry-erase spaces makes for more in depth learning, collaboration, and visual instructions.
In my unique position as a Physical Education teacher, I have the blessing of getting to know every student in the school, grades K-6. My students are creative and love to move and play! My students enjoy challenging themselves in new skills as well as engaging in friendly competition with peers.
My students' strengths include supporting each other, asking questions for better understanding, and taking turns or sharing with others.
My students have room to grow in the areas of goal setting, fitness logging, and using decision making models from Phy Ed and Health curriculum. I have enjoyed teaching this year most because I have gotten to know my students so well. Friendly hugs and waves in the hallway are just one way my students demonstrate how awesome they truly are!
My Project
In an effort to teach with best practices and create better learning opportunities for students I would like to add 3 more large dry-erase boards in our elementary gymnasium!
The addition of these dry-erase boards will create more teaching space and opportunities for students to collaborate together.
Currently, we utilize one large whiteboard in the center of the gym. While this is a great learning space it is not always usable for best teaching in every lesson. We also lose access to it on days we need to lower the gym curtain and share the space with others.
Not only will I and after school coaches be able to use the whiteboards for visual and written instructions, the boards will be used for small groups of students to collaborate, create, and work at stations. Extra whiteboard space will also assist in teaching 6 different grade level lessons throughout each school day.
