I teach high school students, many of which come from low-income households. They are eager to learn every day and I encourage learning in my classroom through group activities. Through these group activities, my students are learning important communication skills that are needed for their post-secondary plans.
My students display hard work and respect every day in my classroom.
We learn organization skills and mathematics in my classroom. My students would greatly appreciate you giving to our project to improve their learning.
My Project
In my high school math classes, we use interactive notebooks to learn new content and to help show relationships in math. Since we start new classes in the middle of the year, some of my students cannot afford to purchase new materials for the new semester. My students last semester saw me using erasable pens in my notebook and several of them said they wished they had some to color-code their notes.
Erasable pens would help my students show relationships in their work, and still be able to correct their mistakes which often happen in math.
I would like for my students to have access to a composition notebook because they are more sturdy than a spiral notebook when we are gluing information in them. Your support would greatly help my students learn new math concepts!
