Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The schools in my district are all designated as Title I. That means the vast majority of the student's families live below the poverty line and most of my students are English language learners. Many of my student's parents are struggling to survive now. Many of my students do not have access to basic school supplies. Items like pencils, paper, scissors, makers and crayons are a luxury for them in these tough economic times. Each day students are required to complete assignments without access to the resources they need to complete these tasks.

My Project

While my students are home, they will be able to complete daily educational assignments using the whiteboards, markers, journals, pencils and erasers. They will be able to practice multiplications and sight words using the flashcards. Students will also be able to use the art supplies to be creative and original while completing STEAM activities.

All students should have equitable access to the basic supplies they need to complete their daily school work, even if they are homebound.

These supplies will make a world of difference for my student's educational achievement.
