I need funds to attend virtual professional development for teaching biliteracy.

My students are bright and eager learners. Although our classes are virtual due to Covid-19, the attendance is at about a 98% daily average! My students are learning in two languages and growing and developing in all domains. I am motivated when I see my students respond to their learning especially in their second language (Spanish). It is even more thrilling and motivating for me to hear my students work hard to use their newly acquired language!
Teacher experience, knowledge and skills are directly tied to students success. The statistics reveal that when teachers have training that will help them to become masters of their trade students benefit both academically and in all other developmental domains.
This professional development opportunity that I am seeking to attend will help me to better understand new and effective methods and pedogogy directly applicable to teaching emergent bilingual students.
When practiced in the classroom these methods and teacher pedagogy will help my students to develop the skills they need to become bilingual. With consistent implementation my students will benefit from being bilingual in the global community and learn to appreciate and be accepting of other cultures.
