My students are creative, smart and driven in the classroom. They love hands-on experiments and learning new things.
We teach blended classrooms meaning that Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all learn and work side by side--Imagine a modern "Little House on the Prairie".
The combined grades create a natural social hierarchy but allow student groups to be taught at each student's level. Students can move to higher or lower groups as their needs demand. I enjoy teaching each scholar, and love watching them all grow!
Our classroom is in-need of new equipment to play with. A lot of our equipment is 2 years old. We are in need of more P.E. materials to help keep our students engaged during recess and lunch. We don't have access to funds to replace things each year.
The science props will help give students a visual and a more in-depth learning and understanding while making it fun and exciting.
When you have more materials as a teacher students want to stay engaged in lessons being taught and it increases student participation and attendance students want to be at school when lessons are hands on.
