EOG CRUNCH TIME. How can I make sure my children have all the physical materials they need to be successful without distractions?
Working in a Title I school with 83% free and reduced lunch it is sometimes difficult to get all the supplies we need.
At this time of year 4th grade is diligently working and preparing for their End of Grade tests. This requires a lot of writing and annotating and so we are going through school supply's really quickly. I want to make sure that my students have all they need physically to be successful as they are so hard working and striving to achieve great goals.
My Project
Did you know that we go through hundreds of yellow pencils per year? Students are constantly using them and losing them. They are working so hard to prepare for their End of Grade Tests and we really have very few pencils or erasers left. Therefore my students won't have the supplies they need to practically take their tests. These donor's choose supplies will allow us to stress less about broken and lost pencil and erasers and concentrate on striving to achieve good grades. We will use the pencils and erasers to take our End of year tests and work out the answers in the book. Children can go through up to 3-4 pencils in just one EOG. We will use the sharpener to reuse these pencils if they get broken. I also would like to give my children a motivation pencil to encourage them to rock that test.
We want to keep a nice, clean classroom in the days leading up to testing to minimize distractions.
The Clorox wipes will ensure that my classroom stays germ free, clean and organized. These practical supplies will encourage my students to keep going and do their very best. Thank you for making a difference in my students lives.
