My students need an Elmo Projector in their classroom to help integrate technology in all subject areas, but specifically math!

My Students

My students are from a low-income, high poverty inner city school district. My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

Many of my students are experiencing school for the first time, and technology is already part of their every day lives.

It is my goal to continue to incorporate technology into their learning as well as make their learning environment fun, inviting and efficient to each student who enters my room.

My Project

Having an Elmo in my classroom would enhance my students learning experience exponentially. An Elmo brings visualization and interaction to a new level by being able to project books on the screen, allowing students as a class to practice writing skills and letters by tracing over the projection, to working on and sharing math problems - giving students the ability to visually see what their peers are doing to solve the example right there on the screen.

The Elmo allows myself and students to easily demonstrate different topics and techniques for the entire class to see rather than hunched over a desk where only a few students can learn.

Having an Elmo would support my goal to continue to incorporate technology into their classroom experience as well as create a fun, inviting, and effective learning environment.
