Our fourth and fifth grade students are fortunate enough to be able to participate in a weekly Outdoor Learning program, whereby we take them to a natural area once a week and engage in a variety of environmentally themed learning activities.
Our Environmental and STEM focus at our school is intended to foster an appreciation and respect for all living systems in the natural world.
Students leave our middle school having taken between 50-60 fieldtrips to a wide variety of natural areas.
My Project
These videos options will allow students to visually experience many of the themes we teach on a regular basis, like Global warming, ecosystem destruction, the food chain, pollination, and more. Having a large library will allow students individual study choices and resources for larger projects.
These materials and resources will support current scientific trends and facts and help debunk many of the myths that are being carelessly thrown out to the public.
Students of this generation are more naturally drawn to videos as a tool to get their knowledge. We support that knowledge with hands on projects and experiences in the field each week.
