My Students

Hello! I am at a creative, arts-based school in Minneapolis that specializes in small class sizes and personalized learning to meet the needs of our student population. We are a small school, and our goal is to create a community of learners that work together with mutual respect, compassion, and empathy. The students here are focused on doing the best they possibly can and know that the staff and teachers are here to help them succeed in high school and beyond.

I struggle to provide basic supplies for my classroom on a limited budget and to create fun, creative projects/labs/activities that enhance their learning of the curriculum.

I strive to create a classroom environment that is safe, interesting and enhances their curiosity. One of my goals is to bridge the connection between what we learn in the classroom to the outside world. My students love to explore nature, are incredibly talented and, above all else, are curious to learn more.

My Project

Eagle Bluff is an overnight, residential outdoor learning school that offers students the chance to experience our local habitats and environment in hands-on, experiential learning activities.

Students participate in classes, naturalist programs, group challenges, and adventure activities that sharpen their critical thinking skills, foster teamwork and leadership, and challenge them to become nature lovers and stewards of our environment.

Not only will students learn about our native ecosystems, but they will also participate in activities that create meaningful, positive relationships which they will remember for a lifetime. Unfortunately, the cost prevents many of my students from attending. Please help us provide this amazing experience to all of our students!
