My Students

I work in an early childhood classroom that has several special needs students. Because of the needs that I serve I need an environment that is meaningful and interactive. These students have intense curiosity and great kindness. Just the other day one of my students shared his favorite dinosaur with a friend that wanted a turn. My students are working hard at being good friends and this carries over to how they interact with others outside of school as well.

My Project

In an early childhood classroom having a well designed environment is key to engaging the children in meaningful activities. Help me add some much needed furniture to our classroom. I have a closet full of manipulatives that I can’t put out for kids to use because I need more storage at their level. This will help children explore different interests and spark curiosity that will instill a life long love for learning. No TECHNOLOGY needed! Young children learn best by engaging in hands on activities which is why I have limited access to technology in my classroom. These students are eager to learn new things so I would like to have more items available.
